Leading university in Europe launches new edition of Master Programme in Marine and Coastal Systems

The University of Algarve – ranked in 2018 by the Ocean & Coastal Management journal as the best in Portugal and the 6th in Europe in what deals with research on coastal zone management - is pleased to announce the 6th edition of their Master Programme in Marine and Coastal Systems (MaCS). 

The fieldwork-based degree focuses on the study of processes operating within the coastal and marine systems, subject to geological, physical, chemical and biological forcing. MaCS is fully accredited in accordance to the Bologna Process, has 2 years of total duration (120 ECTS), includes 50+ hours of fieldwork and 200+ hours of laboratory, and is lectured in English. Classes are scheduled to start on September 2019 in Faro, South of Portugal.

The 1st application phase is open until 1st February 2019 and the results are due by 12th February 2019. Applications can be submitted electronically here.
