EurOcean setting sail into a busy Autumn
The summer is over and everyone is back in their “office” at land or on sea for what is shaping up to be a busy few months.

EurOcean is also busy, together with its member CNR (Italian National Research Council) putting in place the final preparations for its half-day conference to be held on October 24th in beautiful Capri, Italy on “Perspectives for enhancing co-ordination and support of Europe´s Ocean Observing System”. We have secured speakers from the European Commission Infrastructures division, The European Marine Board, EuroGOOS, CSIC and CNR among others. Register here and come along and find out about upcoming developments in ocean observations in the context of the European Ocean Observing System (EOOS). If you can´t make it, you can follow it through live-streaming on CNR´s website.

As a partner in the H2020 funded COLUMBUS project we are also looking forward to the 2nd COLUMBUS International Blue Society Knowledge Transfer Conference, taking place in Brussels on November 7th. Here you will have an opportunity collaboratively to explore the barriers, challenges and possible solutions to achieving the impact potential of marine and maritime research, at all stages of the funding cycle. Training will also be offered in the COLUMBUS knowledge transfer methodology.

You can read more about these events below as well as learning how the MARINA project is promoting Responsible Research and Innovation, about EurOcean´s contribution to Ocean Literacy and steps being taken to advance blue biotechnology developments in the Baltic region. You can also find out about upcoming events and job possibilities around the world.

Happy reading!
