EurOcean 2016 Annual Report just released!
A full year in review waiting for you.

EurOcean has just released its 2016 annual report. In this year’s edition the highlights are:

  • Knowledge Exchange in Spotlight at European Parliament - EurOcean organised event where MEPs, Commission representatives and other stakeholders discuss how to support marine research knowledge exchange for Blue Growth.
  • Professor Mário Ruivo Prize Awarded - Winning entry addressed marine litter; two special commendations also awarded.
  • Research Infrastructures Database upgrade - Major development of Research Infrastructures Database underway with support of Member IOPAN.
  • H2020 Success with three new projects - Proposals in the areas of responsible research and innovation (MARINA), Arctic observations (INTAROS) and marine renewable energy (MARINET 2) successful.
  • New Branding and Website Launched - A new logo, branding materials and a new-look website were unveiled.
  • IOC renews cooperating member status - UNESCO´s Intergovernmental Oceanographic Commission reinforces its relationship with EurOcean.
