Bringing the Ocean to Society
4 Dec 2020
LUMEXPLORE Junior competition
LUMEXPLORE is the first Festival in France to offer teenagers to be selected, just like adults. Two prizes are awarded by EurOcean's member IFREMER.

Teenagers will have to make a five-minute film by putting themselves in the conditions of a scientific researcher in the field: going up a river, discovering a cave, studying plants, etc...

By making a film, in the field of scientific or environmental exploration, they will become actors and not just spectators.

Raise awareness about saving the environment
This initiative is intended to be educational and stimulating. Aiming to create vocations among the youngest, whether in scientific fields or in that of reporting, writing and making exploration films. It is also intended to raise awareness among the younger generation about saving the environment.

The making of the short films will be carried out in schools or individually. It will only concern students wishing to participate in the selection of the Festival.

The best films made by students will receive the LUMEXPLORE Junior prize.

The 2021 edition is now open to all French academies (Metropolitan and overseas), as well as to French-speaking territories outside France.
