COLUMBUS conference on knowledge transfer, challenges and solutions to optimise the research system.

The COLUMBUS consortium is organising the 3rd INTERNATIONAL BLUE SOCIETY KNOWLEDGE TRANSFER CONFERENCE 2018 “Make Marine and Maritime Science Count”, on the 24th of January 2018 at the Crowne Plaza Hotel, Brussels, Belgium.

Wide range of speakers and panellists will explore and highlight the valuable contribution of COLUMBUS project to achieve Blue Growth, and will demonstrate it through illustrating a selection of case studies of EC founded projects Knowledge Outputs Transfer activities and project results implementation.

Main barriers and challenges for achieving Knowledge Transfer tangible impacts will also be presented and discussed, engaging the audience in a collaborative brainstorm of possible solutions for optimising the research system and maximizing the impact of marine and maritime research.

The conference will also host the Blue Society Knowledge Transfer Award which will celebrate the best practice examples of successful Knowledge Transfer.  

As a side event of the Conference, on the 23th of January COLUMBUS will offer an external capacity training on Creating Impact by Knowledge Transfer for the Research Community, an interactive free training course intended for all the researchers, managers and project Coordinators who are keen to know how to achieve greater impact from their projects and programmes.
