EurOcean and CNR organized a conference on ocean observations systems

The conference entitled “Perspectives for Enhancing Co-ordination and Support of Europe´s Ocean Observing System” jointly organized by EurOcean and CNR took place on 24 October 2017 in the beautiful island of Capri, Italy.

The 30+ international audience had the opportunity to learn about and discuss a range of topics related with some of the most relevant ocean observation initiatives in Europe at the moment. The key speakers included representatives of the European Commission, the European Marine BoardEuroGOOS, the European Multidisciplinary Seafloor and water-column Observatory and EurOcean.

This event took place within the scope of the 17th EurOcean's Steering Committe annual meeting. In 2018, the meeting will be organized by FRCT and held in Ponta Delgada, Azores, Portugal. An associated open event is already being planned.
