Welcome to new EurOcean staff member!
New Intern is already working in the Lisbon facilities.

Raquel Gaião Silva was the successful candidate for our 2017 Summer Internship and just joined the EurOcean team in Lisbon.

Raquel started her studies in 2013 in University of Porto in Portugal, where she finished her Biology bachelor degree in 2016. She is currently doing an international MSc in Biodiversity and Marine Conservation in the University of Algarve in Portugal and in the Galway Mayo Institute of Technology in Ireland. After a research internship in the Interdisciplinary Centre of Marine and Environmental Research of the University of Porto, she joined the Centre of Marine Sciences of the University of Algarve and Ciência Viva for an internship on science communication and outreach.

Raquel joined EurOcean in June 2017 and she will be mostly involved in the support to administrative and financial management of the centre as well as in various communication activities.
