Blue Growth Summer School
Ghent, Belgium | 11-22 September 2017

After last year’s edition of the Blue Growth Summer School organized by Ghent University at its Campus in Ostend (BE) GreenBridge, the second edition of this cutting edge training involving science, business insights, interactive sessions topped off with unique excursions and socio-cultural activities will take place from 11th until 22nd September 2017. Relevant Blue Growth themes are covered in a maritime (1st week) and marine module (2nd week).

The target audience consists of MSc and PhD-level students with civil engineering, bio-engineering and science (e.g. marine biology and geography) background with a passion for ocean sciences, research and development and innovation. A limited number of discounts are available for PhD students enrolled at Ghent University (first come first served).

BGSS2017 combines science, business development and entrepreneurship through lectures and interactive sessions, topped off with excursions and socio-cultural activities.

The participation fee for the 2-week programme is €500, while the cost for a single module is €300. The fee covers transport from and to the lectures, accommodation, lunches, coffee breaks and a group diner.
