MARINA Project at the European Maritime Day
MARINA project could not miss EMD and it will be in fact taking part in two workshops to be held 18 May.

The European Maritime Day represents the EU major event  to raise the visibility of maritime sectors and support an integrated approach to maritime affairs. European Maritime Day is the annual meeting point for Europe’s maritime community to network, discuss and forge joint action. The EMD 2017 conference and exhibition will be held on 18-19 May 2017 in Poole, UK. (Find here the EMD 2017 programme).

The workshop will involve a new facilitation activity focusing on future development trends in our seas which is designed to highlight communication challenges between sectors. This will be used as a starting point for a discussion about engagement best practices and attendees will leave with a host of new engagement resources to explore.


  • Practically demonstrate the challenges of working with diverse marine interest group;
  • Share positive lessons and approaches for tackling these challenges through engagement;
  • Produce a collective statement supporting wide stakeholder involvement.

European Maritime Day is the annual meeting point for Europe’s maritime community to network, discuss and forge joint action. The MARINA partner XPRO Consulting will be pitching the MARINA project to involve as many as maritime actors and stakeholders in Responsible Research and Innovation and to federate through the MARINA Knowledge Sharing Platform.
