MARINA international workshops to start in April
Several opportunities are now available for marine stakeholders, from citizens to policy makers, to be involved all over Europe.

After a successful initial round of national workshops around Europe, including one organised by project partner EurOcean, the MARINA project is about to kick-off its first series of international workshops. Diverse participatory methods – such as World Cafés, Structured Democratic Dialogues and others – will continue to be employed in order to bring together stakeholders and have them discuss ideas about specific marine hot topics.

The main theme of the 2017 MARINA international workshops is Sustainable Tourism and you can join any of the following events:

  1. 4 April 2017  SEA PRESSURES AND MARINE ENVIRONMENTAL STATUS

Organised by ISPRA
Location: Venice, Italy

11 May 2017  FOOD SECURITY, MANAGEMENT OF MARINE LIVING RESOURES AND SUSTAINABLE SEAFOOD

Organised by Nausicaa
Location: Boulogne sur Mer, France

30 May 2017  PLANNING THE USES AND URBANISATION OF COASTAL AREAS

Organised by AAU
Location: Copenhagen, Denmark

19/20 Sept 2017  OCEAN RENEWABLE ENERGY

These however are just one kind of the initiatives being carried by the H2020 project in order to implement Responsible Research and Innovation (RRI) within the European marine sciences sphere. Make sure you keep updated about MARINA, RRI and all the related activities at the project’s website, facebook and twitter. There are opportunities for you to be involved!
