The EurOcean, represented by the Executive-Director Telmo Carvalho and by the Science Officer Sofia Cordeiro, visited the EurOcean Member GeoEcoMar in the beginning of June 2010. The Office visited the Bucharest and the renewed Constanţa facilities of the Member (Fig. 1) and had the opportunity to visit the oceanographic research vessel "Mare Nigrum" (Fig. 2). The trip finished with a visit to the Danube Delta (Fig. 3), a Biosphere Reserve and an UNESCO World Heritage Site, in which the Office visited the GeoEcoMar house boat and the fluvial and coastal research vessel "Istros". |
