The Portuguese Academy of Engineering and the Berlin-Brandenburgische Akademie der Wissenschaften (Berlin-Brandenburg Academie of Sciences) will be organizing jointly a series of three workshops on the general subject of Oceans.

The first workshop will be held in Lisbon, Portugal, on 17-18 May 2010, on "Oceans as a Source of Energy", and will cover offshore oil and gas as well as marine renewables like offshore wind, waves, tidal currents and osmotic power.
