The Malta Council for Science and Technology (MCST) has, since 1988
been mandated by the Government to act as the national focal point for
science and technology policy. In this role, MCST has pioneered
visionary approaches to the deployment of science and technology in the
Maltese Islands. MCST therefore, is responsible for the management of the local RTDI programme. The National Strategic Plan for Research and Innovation 2007-2010, recently published by the MCST, addresses the weaknesses in the national research and innovation capacity and performance. The Strategy presents a vision for R&I in Malta as well as a set of underpinning strategic principles. |
