THE PROJECT

SEA-TITAN, a European Commission H2020 Programme funded project, aims at making a step change in the wave energy sector by designing, building, testing and validating a crosscutting and innovative Direct Drive Power Take-Off solution to be used with multiple types of wave energy converter.

The objective is to develop an optimized crosscutting power takeoff with application to multiple systems through collaboration with multiple wave energy developers and industrial partners with a strong track record on technology.

The SEA-TITAN consortium brings together 11 partners from 7 European countries: Belgium, France, Italy, Portugal, Spain, Sweden and UK. It gathers eight companies (WEDGE, CORPOWER, CENTIPOD, HYDROCAP, OCEM, COLUMBUS, ENGIE, EDP CNET) and three non-profit organizations with focus on applied research and development (CIEMAT, WAVEC, UNE).

For further information about the project you can visit the project’s website: https://seatitan.eu/ or follow us on Twitter (@SeaTitanEu), LinkedIn or Facebook.
